Backstage Notes on Steve Austin’s Paige Interview, Possible Name for NXT Tag Team, Super Calo

– Former WCW star Super Calo will be wrestling for Mexico’s CMLL promotion tonight in Guadalajara. This is a big surprise as Calo never worked for CMLL in the past as he was a AAA regular in the 90’s.

– As noted, NXT tag team Enzo Amore, Colin Cassady and Carmella have been working recent WWE live events with Carmella escorting the duo to the ring for tag matches. Apparently WWE has introduced them with the team name “SAWFT” at some live events.

– No word yet if WWE will be postponing Monday’s post-RAW WWE Network podcast with Steve Austin and Paige as a Roddy Piper tribute special is expected. Paige is actually a replacement for Hulk Hogan, who was originally scheduled to be Austin’s next guest but was nixed after the racist comments scandal broke and WWE terminated his contract.
