This week on Raw, Acting Raw General Manager Baron Corbin named Alexa Bliss as captain of the Raw Women’s Survivor Series team (for a Women’s 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match against SmackDown LIVE). He also gave her full control over the Raw roster.

In an in-ring promo, Alexa declared her intention to be a purely managerial captain instead of a competitor in the match herself. The five-time Women’s Champion then sanctioned a WWE Evolution rematch of Bayley, Sasha Banks, and Natalya vs. The Riott Squad so that she can see who had the right stuff to join her team.

The match resulted in a no contest after it ended abruptly. As Natalya had Sarah Logan trapped in the Sharpshooter, Ruby Riott grabbed hold of a pair of glasses belonging to Natalya’s late father, Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart. She then snapped them in half right in front of the former SmackDown Women’s Champion and stomped out the remnants. Logan rolled out of the ring and joined The Riott Squad up the ramp while Banks and Bayley tried to console Natalya.

Later in the show, Nia Jax beat Ember Moon and joined in on a post-match beating with Tamina, who emerged once again to seemingly cement herself as “The Irresistible Force”‘s enforcer.

The WWE Instagram account posted a graphic on Thursday asking who made the best case on Raw to join Alexa’s Survivor Series team.

Dana Brooke, who did not wrestle on Raw, responded to the post by writing, “Love how I am always forgotten.”

Brooke last wrestled on Raw on October 22, losing to Moon in a Fatal 4-Way Match that also included Jax and Tamina.

Before the night’s main event, it was announced that Alexa will reveal her Survivor Series team on Raw next week. A graphic promoting the announcement displayed Bliss and the entire Raw Women’s division.

Here is WWE.com’s preview for Alexa revealing her Survivor Series squad:

“Alexa Bliss seems to be enjoying her managerial role as the captain of the Raw Women’s Survivor Series Team, and after witnessing many of the division’s most competitive Superstars in action this past week, Little Miss Bliss will reveal her team on Raw.

“Will she put past issues aside and select the likes of Bayley, Sasha Banks and Natalya? Will she embrace the chaos of The Riott Squad? What about Nia Jax, a Superstar she once considered to be her best friend (having since been replaced by Mickie James and Alicia Fox)? The Goddess will reveal all when Raw rolls through Kansas City.”

As of last week, the WWE creative team planned on having Sasha, Bayley, Jax, and Moon compete in the 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match. This isn’t final, but they are the top names being considered.

Bliss is out of action after reportedly suffering a concussion last month.
