Former WWE Diva Melina Perez wrestled for the first time in three years on Friday night at a Stardom event in Covina, California.

Teaming with former TNA wrestler Santana Garrett, the tandem defeated Hudson Envy and Thunder Rosa. Garrett pinned Rosa with the springboard moonsault at 16:19, according to Stardom’s Facebook page.

The former WWE Women’s and Divas Champion was advertised to appear at the event, but as a referee for a match pitting Shirai and Mayu Iwatani against Hiroyo Matsumoto and Kellie Skater.

Prior to Friday night, Perez had not wrestled since September 2012 — against former WWE rival Jillian Hall at an independent wrestling event in Pennsylvania. After that contest, she would refer to herself on social media as a former professional wrestler, even as recently as last week.

Perez returned to the independent circuit in the spring and appeared on the season finale of Lucha Underground that aired in August. In her debut for the television series, she assisted Johnny Mundo in a match against Alberto El Patron by hitting the former WWE and World Heavyweight Champion with a title belt while the referee was knocked down. She has also appeared for Maryland Championship Wrestling in recent months, both as an enforcer and manager.
