Jim Duggan Talks Working For Vince McMahon and Wrestling Deaths, Kalisto Hurt By Alberto Del Rio

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan

– WWE Hall of Famer “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan discussed working for Vince McMahon during an interview with Albany, New York-based newspaper Times Union.

“Are you good friends with your boss? Your boss is your boss. Some guys get fired from the WWF and would say they got treated like a piece of meat. You want a friend? Go buy a puppy. If you work for Vince, sooner or later — unless you’re The Undertaker — you are going to hear the flushing sound. My good friend Roddy Piper — he got fired so many times!”

When asked who his ‘best friends in the game’ are, Duggan said, “I lost three very good friends. There is a higher death rate in wrestling than there is from drugs and alcoholism. We’re like a rock and roll band; in a different city every night. When we lost Rowdy Roddy Piper, I was devastated. I’ve also lost two other friends in Dr. Steve Williams and Terry (Bam Bam) Gordy. Jake (Roberts) has been a good friend. So has the “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase.”

– Kalisto was ‘banged up’ after being stomped on by Alberto Del Rio at the conclusion of their WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament match on Raw, but it was not considered to be anything serious. He worked the following night’s SmackDown, where he lost to Big E.
