American Ninja Warrior’s Kacy Catanzaro Makes Her WWE NXT Wrestling Debut (Photos)

Kacy Catanzaro

Kacy Catanzaro has scaled American Ninja Warrior‘s Warped Wall and completed the city finals course, but she’s now trying her hand at something entirely different: wrestling for WWE.

Only three months after reporting to the WWE Performance Center, the American Ninja Warrior alumna wrestled her first-ever match at tonight’s NXT live event in Sanford, Florida.

Catanzaro came up short in her in-ring debut as she lost to Reina González in a singles match after being clocked with a lariat.

Catanzaro managed to show off her athleticism, as seen below.

Catanzaro came to fame in 2014 when she became the first woman to complete American Ninja Warrior‘s perilous city finals course. Nicknamed “Mighty Kacy,” Catanzaro — she was a Division I gymnast before turning to obstacle course racing — has twice made Sports Illustrated‘s “Fittest 50” list of the world’s top female athletes.

Catanzaro tried out for WWE in January 2017 at the Performance Center and signed a contract with the company over the summer. In this video below, she discusses making the transition to wrestling.

Before making her debut, Catanzaro posted this inspirational message.
