– We noted this past week that there were rumors of New Japan Pro Wrestling star Rocky Romero coming to WWE as a trainer or a wrestler, after the reports of AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson coming in.

Romero will not be coming to WWE as he has signed a new deal with NJPW, according to PWInsider. Romero was scheduled to travel to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida next week but that’s no longer happening. WWE officials were informed Romero will be staying with NJPW.

The former ROH Tag Team Champion has reportedly signed a two-year deal with New Japan.
