Paige heads to the ring to explain her actions as of late at SmackDown on October 20, 2015 at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas.
If you’re wondering where Paige’s delightful accent comes from, it’s because she was born in Norwich, Norfolk, England on August 17, 1992. When people say they were born to do something, or they’ve been doing it since they were in the womb, it’s often said as a mild joke. For this WWE Diva, however, it’s her reality.
Her mother, Julia Hamer-Bevis, has been wrestling since 1990 and actually named Paige after her name in wrestling, Sweet Saraya — Paige’s real name is Saraya-Jade Bevis. Paige said in an interview that her mother unknowingly wrestled while she was seven months pregnant with her. So you can literally say that Paige’s first wrestling match was in the womb.
Paige’s mother isn’t the only wrestler in her family. The WWE Diva’s father, Ian Bevis, as well as her older brothers, Roy Bevis and Zak Frary, are professional wrestlers. Together, the family runs the World Association of Wrestling (WAW) promotion in Norwich, which was established in 1994. Her mother also owns and operates Bellatrix Female Warriors, a female wrestling promotion that is also based in Norwich.
In the case of Paige, there may not be any truer situation of a person having wrestling in their blood.
