Photos: Curtis Axel and Damien Sandow No Longer Doing Mega Powers Gimmicks

– We now have confirmation that WWE has dropped Curtis Axel’s “Axelmania” gimmick and Damien Sandow’s “Macho Mandow” gimmick. When WWE began distancing themselves from Hulk Hogan in preparation for The National Enquirer revealing his racist comments from 2006, they also pulled mentions of Axelmania and Axel’s Twitter was edited.

Axel and Sandow worked Friday’s WWE live event in Bakersfield, California and defeated the team of Brad Maddox and Adam Rose. As you can see in the photos below, Axel is now clean haven and the Mega Powers gimmick has been dropped:
