-- Apparently, even Crystal Louthan doesn't know her status with TNA. Yesterday, I reported that the backstage announcer had recently opened up an official website. Reader TheUnconventionals Fansite e-mailed her on the website and asked her if she was still a member of the TNA roster. Crystal replied with the following:
I hope so! I am off for this month, I look forward to coming back! Please email the TNA website and let them know you miss me and keep checking my website for new updates! Thanks for watching!!!!
The new announcer, Lauren Brooke, a model from the Orlando area, was brought in at the request of Spike TV officials.
-- Thursday's edition of Impact drew a 1.0 rating, reports www.pwtorch.com. This is the third week in a row in which Impact has drawn a 1.0 rating. The first hour of the show was a pretty big ratings loser as viewership dropped with each passing quarter hour until 10:00 p.m. It went all the way from a 0.98 at the start of the show to a low 0.86 rating at the end of the hour. The segment that flopped was the Christian Cage & Rhino vs. Motor City Machine Guns match. The 0.86 rating the match drew appears to be the lowest quarter hour in recent memory. However, the ratings instantly turned around as soon as they brought out the women at the top of the second hour. The show instantly jumped 0.18 rating points, nabbing a 1.04 rating. The final 30 minutes finished strong as the show drew 1.11 and 1.12 quarter hour ratings for the Angle vs. Joe main event.
