How Long John Cena Will Be Out, Raw Rating Takes A Hit, Latest WWE Mag

Posted by PWPIX on 08/26/2008

-- As reported earlier, John Cena underwent surgery today to repair a herniated disc in his neck. He will only be out of action for two to four months as it wasn't neck fusion surgery like in the case of several other injured stars of the past. "I think John's prognosis is excellent," Dr. Joseph Maroon told WWE.com. "He should be able to return to wrestling in two to four months. John will be working out next week. We performed this same procedure on three all pro NFL players; and all three resumed their football careers." {Cena out, vows to return}

-- Monday's Raw took a hit in the ratings as the show drew a 2.8 cable rating with 4,091,000 viewers last night, reports ProWrestling.NET. Of course the show aired on the Sci Fi Channel instead of USA last night. Last week's Raw did a 3.3 rating.

-- Batista is on the cover of the latest issue of WWE Magazine.
