Update On Chris Jericho Appearing On SmackDown After Winning The U.S. Championship At Payback
Four weeks after losing the United States Championship to his former best friend Kevin Owens at WrestleMania, Chris Jericho defeated the man calling himself “The New Face of America” last night at WWE Payback to reclaim the United States Championship and officially join SmackDown LIVE.
According to Jericho’s official website, the WWE Superstar will begin touring with Fozzy this Friday in Virginia Beach, Virginia and has concerts scheduled every Tuesday this month beginning next week through May 30. A Fozzy concert is also scheduled for the same night as WWE’s next pay-per-view, Backlash, on May 21.
So it appears that Jericho’s only appearance on SmackDown LIVE this month will take place tomorrow night.
After the match, Raw General Manager Kurt Angle offered his best wishes to the new United States Champion, who added two more names to “The List of Jericho.”
