Zeus Was At Survivor Series; What He Recently Said About John Cena

Zeus

Zeus, who headlined the 1989 Survivor Series in a match against Hulk Hogan, attended Sunday’s show at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. According to a writer for the Pro Wrestling Torch who attended the show and was live-tweeting, the former WWE Superstar was seated ringside (sorry, we don’t have any pictures).

While Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is without question the biggest movie star to wrestle inside a WWE ring, if you’re trying to name the second biggest, it would probably be Zeus, also known as Tiny Lister. He’s popped up in a countless number of movies and television shows, but is best known for his roles as the neighborhood bully Deebo in the film Friday and its sequels, as President Lindberg in The Fifth Element, and of course, No Holds Barred.

During an interview with Another Wrestling Podcast earlier this year, Lister congratulated John Cena on his recent successes in Hollywood, saying Hollywood is the goal for pro wrestlers, and that Cena should start doing films full-time before “you kill yourself over in that WWE.”

He also mentions that Cena should “keep [his] focus on Jesus Christ,” and that he’ll run him over with a truck. His big soundbite is saying WWE is “just a stepping stone,” and that it’s “all about being like The Rock.”
