Adam Rose Talks About Inspirations for His Character, Who Has Helped Him In His WWE Career

Adam Rose

– Adam Rose recently spoke with Mike Mooneyham of The Post and Courier. The full interview can be found at this link. Below are some highlights:

Inspiration for his character:

โ€œStrangely enough, initially it was more Austin Powers and Elton John. After it was done, people said it was more Russell Brand-ish. When we initially launched it, the idea was that it was going to be a fun character and something that people could enjoy. Wrestling-wise, we took a lot from Adrian Street and Rico (Constantino) and borrowed from some other things. Ever since, itโ€™s gone through some turns and evolutions.โ€

Thanking people who have helped him in the business:

โ€œThere have been so many people involved. If you go way back, from FCW to NXT days, I donโ€™t think Norman Smiley gets enough credit at all for being one of the hardest workers in the business and a man who has influenced so many different careers. Terry Taylor is another. And Iโ€™ll go so far to say โ€” although a lot of people donโ€™t want me to say it โ€” Bill DeMott. He had a lot to do with me, especially when it came down to crunch time, he was there.โ€
