Tyrus Says He’s Leaving Impact Wrestling (Again)

Tyrus

After returning to Impact Wrestling a few months ago, Tyrus (aka Brodus Clay in WWE) announced that he has parted ways with the organization due to creative differences.

The 45-year-old announced his departure from Impact Wrestling in this Instagram post on Wednesday.

Tyrus left the company back in August, saying he was “handcuffed and treated like a second-class citizen creatively.” After the organization was taken over by new management, he returned for a multi-day set of television tapings in January, where he aligned himself with EC3. They quickly turned on each other and the two had a match that aired on the March 1 episode of Impact Wrestling, which Tyrus won.

More recently, he was involved in an angle where KM, Caleb Konley, and Trevor Lee fat-shamed him, Fallah Bahh and Richard Justice. This led to a six-man tag team match on last week’s episode of Impact Wrestling, which Tyrus, Bahh, and Justice won.

After being released by WWE in June 2014, Tyrus signed with Impact Wrestling (then known as TNA) in September of the same year.
