Three Matches Announced For WWE Super Show-Down: Cena Match Changed, No. 1 Contender’s Match, Shield

John Cena

After the build to WWE Super Show-Down began on Raw this week, WWE has made a few more announcements for the WWE Network event set for October 6 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Melbourne, Australia.

In a rematch from SummerSlam, Daniel Bryan and The Miz will face off in a contest with WWE Championship implications. The winner of the match earns a future WWE Championship Match.

The Miz beat Bryan at SummerSlam after Maryse gave him brass knuckles to use as a weapon.

John Cena will no longer face Kevin Owens at WWE Super Show-Down. Cena will instead team with Bobby Lashley against Owens and Elias.

WWE is also hyping that The Shield will be in action at WWE Super Show-Down in some form after reuniting on Raw this week.

Triple H appeared on Raw this week to address his match with The Undertaker at WWE Super Show-Down, where he explained why he’s facing “The Phenom” for the last time.
