Carmella Advertised To Challenge Charlotte Flair For The SmackDown Women’s Championship

Last night on SmackDown LIVE, Carmella interrupted a match between SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair and Natalya to again try to cash in her Money in the Bank contract.

Before a referee could take the Money in the Bank contract from The Princess of Staten Island and make the title match official, Charlotte kicked it out of Carmella’s hands, which led to an enraged Carmella attempting to charge her. Charlotte then tossed Carmella from the ring, and the commotion nearly allowed Natalya to defeat Charlotte with another rollup, but Flair eventually locked Natalya in the Figure-Eight for the tap out win.

Charlotte and Carmella will be facing each other in an official match next week as the official website of the Smoothie King Center is advertising the bout for next week’s SmackDown LIVE in New Orleans, Louisiana. The match will be for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

This will likely be a dark match. The only other match advertised is AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE Championship.
