At the height of an explosive Fatal 4-Way Match between Asuka, Ivy Nile, Raquel Rodriguez and Stephanie Vaquer, Rhea Ripley emerged from nowhere to pull Rodriguez out of the ring as she was attempting to pin Vaquer. After hitting Riptide on the ringside floor, Asuka followed up with a Empress Impact on Rodriguez for the three-count. Her real name is Kanako Urai (浦井 佳奈子, Urai Kanako) and she was born on September 26, 1981 (age 44) in Osaka, Japan. Prior to joining WWE in 2015, she wrestled under the ring name Kana. She maintains the name for her YouTube channel. She is also known as The Empress.

Prior to joining WWE, Asuka did a number of provocative photo and video shoots in Japan. She was known as Kana, which also served as her ring name while wrestling in Japan.
