Her real name is Lea Mitchell, and she was born on October 22, 1998 (age 26) in Boynton Beach, Florida, United States. She was a member of Michigan State University’s women’s gymnastics team from 2018 to 2022. Following her graduation from MSU, she participated in a three-day WWE tryout in Nashville, Tennessee in July 2022. She was offered a development contract and reported to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida in the fall.

Competing under her real name, the former artistic gymnast made her wrestling debut in a battle royal on October 28, 2022, at an NXT live event in Melbourne, Florida. She began wrestling as Kelani Jordan on May 9, 2023, taking on Wendy Choo in a match that aired three days later on NXT Level Up.
