She was born Taynara Melo de Carvalho on June 9, 1995 (age 29) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In 2017, she married Brazilian judoka Jorge Conti and became known as Taynara Conti. She made her professional wrestling debut under this name at WWE’s WrestleMania Axxess event in Orlando, Florida on April 1, 2017. She wrestled as Taynara Conti until her departure from the organization in April 2020.

They got engaged in June 2022 in Paris, France and had their wedding on August 7, 2022, in Orlando, Florida. She began wrestling as Tay Melo on August 10, 2022, successfully defending the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship with Guevara against Skye Blue and Dante Martin.

She uses different names on social media. She is Taynara Guevara on Instagram, Tay Melo on X, and Tay Melo on TikTok. She is also on OnlyFans under her ring name, Tay Melo.
