— AOP could return to action anytime now.
According to John Pollock of POST Wrestling, Akam was cleared to resume wrestling a few weeks ago after recovering from knee surgery. Akam and Rezar haven’t resurfaced because the creative team has yet to come up with a program for them.
“It’s simply a matter of coming up with a program for the duo,” Pollock wrote. “One of the reasons for their delayed return was the addition of the Wild Card rule, which has tied up television time.”
AOP has been out of commission since January. During Akam’s time away from the ring, Rezar wrestled on his own at live events and on WWE Main Event, but not since March. He’s undefeated on Main Event with a record of 4-0, beating No Way Jose (twice), Tyler Breeze and Curt Hawkins.
