Former WWE Superstar Competing In The Greatest Royal Rumble Match

After making a return to the WWE ring in the 2018 Men’s Royal Rumble Match and being backstage at Wrestlemania 34, Rey Mysterio is heading to Saudi Arabia for the 50-Man Greatest Royal Rumble Match on April 27, PWInsider.com has confirmed.

Mysterio has been on WWE’s radar since his surprise return at the Royal Rumble in Philadelphia in January, easily receiving the biggest reaction of anything on the show up until that point.

That appearance opened WWE up to the potential of signing a new deal with Mysterio, where before, previous talks had stalemated over WWE management wanting a full-time return. Mysterio, at 43 years old and with an untold number of knee surgeries behind him, has been looking for a part-time schedule.

Mysterio and WWE have been in discussions in recent weeks, but there’s been no confirmation as of yet as to the two sides coming to terms. All that can be confirmed as of this writing is that Mysterio has agreed to appear at the Greatest Royal Rumble, which will air live on the WWE Network.

Here is who else has been announced for the 50-Man Greatest Royal Rumble Match so far:

Chris Jericho, Elias, Kurt Angle, Baron Corbin, Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods, Apollo, Titus O’Neil, Shelton Benjamin, Chad Gable, Sin Cara, Goldust, Mojo Rawley, Dolph Ziggler, Daniel Bryan, Kane, Big Show, Braun Strowman, Bray Wyatt
