Shawn Michaels will compete in WWE for the first time in eight years when he teams with D-Generation X co-founder Triple H to take on The Undertaker and Kane at WWE Crown Jewel.
It all started on October 6 at WWE Super Show-Down when both Undertaker and Kane jumped Michaels and Triple H after “The King of Kings” defeated The Undertaker. Last week on Raw, both Michaels and Triple H came out looking for retribution. Michaels said that for the last eight years, he has been keeping a promise — his retirement — out of respect for The Undertaker. But he now realizes that respect may have never existed.
Triple H then said he asked Michaels three words he never thought he would ask him again: “Are you ready?”
Triple H then directed that question to Undertaker and Kane for Crown Jewel. Both men took off their T-shirts revealing new D-Generation X T-shirts as they posed for the crowd with their music playing.
On the latest edition of X-Pac 12360, Sean “X-Pac” Waltman said HBK is returning to the ring for financial reasons.
“Hey [DX is] going to Saudi Arabia. [Shawn Michaels] was sticking to his guns on this whole retirement thing and I would have liked to see him do it sooner. [The fans] wanted him to come back for a long time and I respect the hell out of his reasons for not doing it, and I respect the hell out of his reasons for doing it now, making money,” Waltman said.
WWE, in partnership with the Saudi General Sports Authority, will present Crown Jewel at the King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on November 2.
According to WrestleVotes, Michaels is planning on wrestling at WrestleMania 35 if “all goes well” with his comeback.
Now that it’s official & Shawn Michaels is coming out of retirement, I’m hearing if all goes well, HBK is planning on working WrestleMania. I have heard a few ideas for his opponent but nothing solid enough to report. So… who do you guys want to see HBK wrestle at MetLife?

A source inside WWE told Jeff Whalen of Rajah.com that Michaels’ return is being tentatively planned for at least three matches. This includes the tag team match at WWE Crown Jewel, a one-on-one match against Undertaker at a future “major PPV,” and if all goes as planned, a “dream match” against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 35.
WrestleMania 35 takes place on April 7, 2019, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
