Maxine

Karlee Leliani Perez is an American professional wrestler best known for her time in WWE, where she performed as the seductive and no-nonsense Maxine.

Perez, a Tampa, Florida-based model, kicked off her professional wrestling career in 2009 after signing a developmental contract with WWE. She was assigned to Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW), the company's developmental promotion, where she reigned as an on-screen authority figure. Perez competed in the third season of WWE NXT, but was the second Rookie Diva to be eliminated. In August 2011, Perez made her return to NXT as Derrick Bateman's girlfriend. She quit the sports entertainment organization in June 2012 due to frustrations with not being offered a guaranteed deal and not having the chance to prove herself on television beyond NXT.

Former Diva Says WWE Officials Told Her She Was "Too Curvy"

Who could forget Maxine?

Stick thin bodies may be ridiculed by fans and the media, but the pressure to appear thin is quite fierce for a WWE Diva. Since they are all signed based on their appearance and expected to remain in tip-top shape at all times, even a slight weight gain can be a huge career detriment for a female performer - as Mickie James knows all too well.

Fans should remember Maxine, the raven-haired, no-nonsense Diva who appeared on WWE NXT from 2010 to 2012. In a new bit of info, the ex-Diva revealed recently that her weight was a point of contention with members of WWE management.

TV personality Rachel Ray gained national attention last week for calling clothing brand J. Crew's size 000 clothes "ridiculous." Dolph Ziggler made a joke about this on Twitter, to which the former WWE Diva responded, "I'm a size 1 and was told I was too curvy by the WWE....I Dont know wanna know what I would look like as a 000."

Her "curves" were apparently why she switched over from traditional women's wrestling garb to the sexy black bodysuit on WWE NXT.

"Never said I didn't know how to rock curves!!!! (; A woman should look like a real woman. My bodysuit was the way to go!!!!" she said.

Maxine, however, noted that her "curves didn't have to do with" her departure from WWE in 2012, and to "Google it." She remarked then of her departure: "after sitting for a while, and the chance not really coming, [she] just decided to take it in [her] own hands and make a chance for [herself] which is what [she] did."

Since parting ways with the sports-entertainment organization, Maxine has pursued acting and modeling opportunities. She has not completely removed herself from wrestling as back in May, she competed at TNA's One Night Only Knockouts Knockdown pay-per-view event.
