“Suspended” Ronda Rousey Works First WWE House Show In The United States (Video and Photos)

Making her first wrestling appearance at WWE house show in the United States, Ronda Rousey worked last night’s live event at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

Rousey teamed up with Sasha Banks, Bayley and Dana Brooke in a victory over Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss and The Riott Squad (Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, and Sarah Logan).

According to a live account of the show, Anaheim fans gave Rousey a huge pop. At the beginning of the match, Bliss acted afraid of Rousey by standing behind The Riott Squad. The babyfaces teased tagging Rousey in for most of the match, but they’d get cut off by the heels.

Rousey then came into the ring against Morgan at the seven-minute mark. After a few moves, the other heels came in until Banks helped clear the ring. Rousey took out Logan with strikes in the corner and put Morgan in the Armbar for the submission. Bliss ran to the backstage area while Morgan tapped.

The match went just over eight minutes, with Rousey working the last minute.

Rousey’s personal photographer, Michael Mardones, attended the show and posted footage of the final minute of the match.

Despite her suspension, WWE explained on social media that Rousey was “fulfilling her contractual obligations” and therefore able to appear in Anaheim.

Here is more from the match.

Following the match, Rousey signed autographs for fans, which is something WWE Superstars generally don’t do at live events.
