Alberto El Patron Gone From Impact Wrestling

Alberto El Patron

Impact Wrestling announced Saturday night that they have severed ties with Alberto El Patron, effective immediately.

The statement reads:

IMPACT Terminates Agreement With Alberto El Patron

IMPACT Wrestling announced today that it has terminated its agreement with Alberto El Patron, effective immediately.

PWInsider was the first to report the news. Patron has yet to respond.

On Friday, El Patron no-showed an Impact Wrestling vs. Lucha Underground event in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he was supposed to team with Pentagon Jr. against Fenix and Impact World Champion Austin Aries.

El Patron was in New Orleans since he attended WaleMania Thursday night and appeared at an Impact press conference on Friday to build up his main event match against Aries on Impact’s Redemption PPV on April 22.

The 40-year-old joined Impact Wrestling in March 2017 and won the company’s world title shortly thereafter. He was suspended in July and stripped of the belt in August after domestic violence allegations arose involving then-girlfriend Paige. El Patron returned from suspension in November 2017 at Bound For Glory, claiming that everyone is “a loser and a backstabber” and even going as far as confronting Jeremy Borash, turning heel in the process.
