Becky Lynch Says Headlining WrestleMania 35 Against Ronda Rousey Is Her Ultimate Goal

Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey

The feud between Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey is one of the hottest rivalries in wrestling and because of this, “The Man” says they should close the show at WrestleMania 35.

Lynch was interviewed by Ariel Helwani on Monday and didn’t mince words when asked if she wants to main event WrestleMania 35 against the Raw Women’s Champion.

“That’s my goal,” Becky said. “That’s all I can think about. That’s all I want. I’m living it right now. It’s what I wake up thinking about. It’s what I go to bed thinking about. If I had a vision board, that would be on my vision board. But I think that the possibility is, I think it’s right there … right?”

Adding, “It doesn’t matter what the gender is — or if it’s for an Evolution or whatever — people care about this fight. It’s the one that people will care about the most. So it should be the main event!”

The interview floated a bit more on the kayfabe side, but still had a few nuggets for WWE fans:

  • The two discussed her recent rise to stardom in WWE and what she attributes it to.
  • She didn’t remember anything after she got punched in the face by Nia Jax and went into autopilot. “It turns out my autopilot is a badass too.”
  • He asked about their Twitter war and how she went after Rousey’s handling of her UFC losses. This answer was more in kayfabe and was more about Lynch sees being a champion.
  • She talked about how she got her nickname “The Man” from her friend and author Paul O’Brien and responded to the criticism she sometimes gets from women by using the nickname.
  • Despite being Twitter pals with Conor McGregor, she hasn’t met him. She trained MMA off and on at a gym in Ireland but never considered going into MMA because wrestling is her passion. She thinks she might drop by when she goes home around Christmas.
  • She’d love to main event a WWE show in Ireland’s Croke Park.

Lynch starts talking at the 2:06:00 mark.
