Dean Ambrose Reveals New Look At Game 2 Of The Stanley Cup Finals, Latest On His Injury Status

Dean Ambrose

Out of WWE in-ring action since December 2017 with a severe triceps injury, Dean Ambrose made a rare public appearance on Wednesday night at Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Ambrose and wife Renee Young were at the game as guest Zamboni riders supporting the Vegas Golden Knights against the Washington Capitals. Young also appeared on the NHL Network to talk about the game.

Ambrose looked different than usual as he was sporting a beard, which almost makes him look unrecognizable from certain camera angles. To see photos of Ambrose’s new look, click here.

When WWE fans last saw Ambrose, he was getting his arm busted up by The Bar and getting written off television due to a high-grade triceps tendon injury. The WWE Superstar has been out of action since undergoing surgery in December. WWE said that Ambrose would be out of action for nine months, although the belief is that the company exaggerated his actual recovery time.

Two weeks ago, Raw General Manager Kurt Angle held a Facebook Q&A session and it didn’t take very long at all for a fan to ask when Ambrose is going to make his return to television. Angle’s response indicates he’s fed up with being asked about it:

“LISTEN EVERYONE. Dean is healing nicely. He will be back soon!!!!! I get this question every week. I know how popular he is but asking me when he will return will not make him return any sooner than he can. He will be back soon. Promise.”

PWInsider reported earlier this month that Ambrose has been “pretty much living full-time in Birmingham, Alabama” in order to rehabilitate the injury. In April, Seth Rollins said he thought his former Shield stablemate could be back by summer or “maybe late spring.”
