Al Wilson passes away

WWE is saddened to learn that Al Wilson has passed away.

The father of WWE Hall of Famer Torrie Wilson, Al appeared on SmackDown in 2002 through ’03 and took part in many memorable segments that endeared him to the WWE Universe.

WWE extends its condolences to Wilson’s family, friends and fans.

— Sami Zayn is expected to return to action soon.

According to a report today by John Pollock of POST Wrestling, the Raw Superstar is returning “imminently.”

Pollock adds, “I wasn’t told specifically or if it’s even been decided on, but I’d be shocked if he wasn’t back on television by the end of the Montreal tapings.”

WWE will broadcast Raw on April 15 and SmackDown LIVE on April 16 from Zayn’s hometown of Montreal, Ontario, Canada. The 2019 Superstar Shake-up will take place on both nights.

Zayn, who has been out of action since June, underwent surgery that month for a torn right rotator cuff. He then underwent surgery on his left rotator cuff in August.

In December, WWE aired a vignette saying that Zayn would return to action “soon.”
