Injury Update On Xavier Woods After The Bludgeon Brothers’ Attack At WWE Fastlane (Video)

Xavier Woods

Last night at WWE Fastlane, the SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match between The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods teaming) and SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos ended in a no contest after The Bludgeon Brothers, Harper and Rowan, showed up at ringside and destroyed both teams.

According to WWE.com, Xavier Woods suffered an injury to his thoracic spine due to The Bludgeon Brothers’ brutal attack.

“Our preliminary diagnosis is multiple thoracic contusions,” WWE medical personnel explained. “We’re currently in the process of having him evaluated with X-rays and possibly an MRI for any further damage, such as ruptured discs or fractures of the thoracic spine.”

Woods’ injury was sustained when Harper and Rowan leveled him with a Double Powerbomb onto the steel steps as WWE’s medical crew quickly swarmed ringside and loaded him onto a stretcher.

According to WWE.com, an update on Woods’ status should come later today.

Here is footage of the attack.

Woods’ injury is likely storyline-related as there’s been no word of him being legitimately injured. The storyline should lead to a Triple Threat Match between The Bludgeon Brothers, The New Day and The Usos at WrestleMania 34.
