Ahead of the 51st annual Cauliflower Alley Club being held this week Las Vegas, Nevada, Trish Stratus spoke out on receiving the prestigious “Iron” Mike Mazurki Award.

“When Ron Hutchison gave me the news, I was like ‘Are you kidding me?’ I don’t even know what to say. I’m completely humbled by it. I think it’s very forward-thinking of them to do this,” Stratus told Jan Murphy of The Kingston Whig-Standard.

Stratus also talked about stepping away from wrestling with confidence.

“It think takes a certain braveness or courage to step away when you’re on top and just confidently walk away knowing that ‘I’m satisfied with what I did’ and I’m ready to start the next chapter. And I haven’t looked back,” she said.

Even though he came up short in his WrestleMania debut against Chris Jericho, AJ Styles rebounded in a big way the next night on Raw, defeating Kevin Owens, Jericho and the returning Cesaro in a Fatal 4-Way Match to determine the No. 1 contender to Roman Reigns’ WWE World Heavyweight Championship. As you can see in the above video, Styles got emotional after the USA Network broadcast went off the air, telling the adoring fans how much he loved them for treating him the way they did. Then, while celebrating with fans at ringside, he was hugged by ring announcer Lilian Garcia.
