MJ Day, who is the editor of Sports Illustrated’s annual Swimsuit issue, posted this photo on January 5, 2016, on Instagram and wrote, “#instabooty if #2016 keeps going like this then I’m going to be one happy happy girl! #bootypaint #siswimsuit.”

While Day didn’t identify Rousey as the woman in the photo, you could tell it was her due to her wrist tattoos. Rousey revealed two days later in a post on Instagram that she was photographed in body paint by Sports Illustrated for the Swimsuit 2016 issue.

Ronda Rousey was photographed in Petit St. Vincent for Sports Illustrated’s SI Swimsuit 2016 issue. This photo didn’t appear in the magazine, but in an article on Rousey on SI.com. The photo has since been deleted, but you can see video of her body paint photo shoot on YouTube. The video comes with the following label: “This video may be inappropriate for some users.”
