The Undertaker technically beat Brock Lesnar in the second match of their recent series in the main event of SummerSlam.
The official result was Taker beating Lesnar via referee stoppage when Lesnar faded out in the Hell’s Gate submission.
Prior to the official ending was Taker tapping out to Lesnar’s kimura lock out of sight of the referee, but in-sight of the timekeeper, who called for the bell. As the referee argued with the timekeeper, Taker low-blowed Lesnar, then applied Hell’s Gate for the win.
WWE showed a replay of Taker quietly tapping out, prompting Lesnar’s advocate, Paul Heyman, to declare Lesnar the true winner. Lesnar’s music then played out to close SummerSlam.
As Undertaker was heading to the backstage area after the match. he fell down. He did, however, immediately get back up. Click here to see video footage of this.
