WWE Deletes Tweet On Carmella Facing Asuka On SmackDown, The Bella Twins Play Rapid Fire (Video)

– A few hours before SmackDown LIVE went on the air last night, the official Twitter feed of WWE sent out a message saying Carmella would be defending the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Asuka on the show. This was likely an error on the part of WWE’s social media team rather than a scratched plan since they’re already scheduled to face off at WWE Money in the Bank on Sunday, June 17.

With Carmella on commentary, Asuka took on Mandy Rose on SmackDown LIVE. After Asuka forced Rose to tap out, Carmella boldly walked right into the ring and raised her championship directly in the face of “The Empress of Tomorrow.”
