Edge's Contract With WWE Set To Expire, CM Punk's "Dark Past" Revisited

-- Edge's contract with WWE will expire on May 1, 2012, according to numerous organization sources. This would leave him able to appear for any professional wrestling organization.

Though Edge's in-ring career is over, the news is considering surprising considering that he headlined last month's WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony and the organization has kept other major retired figures (such as Shawn Michaels and Steve Austin) under contract.

-- WrestlingFigs.com reports former WWF Champion Bob Backlund will appear Legends of the Ring 14 taking place Saturday, June 2, 2012 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Monroe, New Jersey.
