This firey redhead got her start in pro wrestling by participating in the inaugural WWE Diva Search that was held during the summer of 2004. Christy Hemme would plow her way through the competition like Roseanne Barr plowing her way through a box of donuts
by winning the contest, not to mention the $250,000 one-year WWE contract. Whenever a T & A segment took place on RAW, it was pretty much a foregone conclusion that Hemme would be a participant. Hemme's momentum would keep on going as she was arguably the most featured female during her first few months as an official WWE Diva. Christy Hemme would go on to grace the cover of April 2005 issue of Playboy, not to mention the annual WWE Divas swimsuit magazine.
After her short brief feud with fellow Diva Search contestant Carmella DeCesare, Hemme would go on to feud with WWE Women's Champion Trish Stratus. Stratus poked fun at Hemme's decision to pose nude in Playboy, and thus a feud was on.
Hemme eventually challenged Stratus to a match at WrestleMania 21, with Stratus's nemesis Lita training her in the weeks preceding the event. Unfortunately, Hemme came up short in the match as Stratus defeated her to retain the gold.
Hemme would then go on to feud with a jealous Victoria. The feud culminated in a bout at Vengeance 2005, which was won by Victoria. Hemme would then briefly align herself with Eugene before both she and Stacy Keibler were traded to SmackDown for Torrie Wilson and
Candice Michelle. Christy would briefly feud with Melina prior to her unexpected release from WWE in December 2005.
What with her sudden departure from WWE, there was the possibility that Hemme was not long for the wrestling world and that she'd just go back to modeling. Fortunately, that was not the case as Christy debuted in TNA in the April 2006. In addition to her hosting role on TNA iMPACT!, Hemme is currently the co-host of the Internet show TNA Global iMPACT! with Jeremy Borash.
