Steve Austin

– Deadline reports that the crew of Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Challenge, which airs on CMT, walked off the job this morning. They are demanding an IATSE (International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees) contract and want health benefits, pension benefits and other measures of a union contract.

The Motion Picture Editor’s Guild and IATSE are representing both production and post-production workers on the show and are putting up a picket line outside the offices of show producers 51 Minds Entertainment.

Deadline notes that Austin’s Broken Skull Challenge was in the process of putting together a third season. No word yet on when the work stoppage will be called off and the situation resolved but we’ll keep you updated.
