Injury Scare at Friday’s WWE NXT Live Event

Cedric Alexander

WWE RAW Cruiserweight Cedric Alexander had an injury scare at Friday’s WWE NXT live event in Winter Haven, Florida.

During his win over Dan Matha, Cedric moved from the corner to avoid a running clothesline but something went wrong and they quickly went to the finish, which saw Cedric win with the Lumbar Check. It was noted that Cedric looked like he had been “knocked loopy,” perhaps off the pre-corner move. After the pin, the referee threw up the dreaded “X” symbol and a trainer ran out from the back.

Then it got awkward as interviewer Kayla Braxton entered the ring before the trainer could get in. According to our correspondent, Cedric did cut a good promo on the win but he seemed “way off.” The trainer and referee tended to Cedric before he made his way to the back.

Cedric did not work Saturday’s live event but told a fan that he’s 100%:
