– WWE officials are interested in signing Humberto Garza III, who wrestles as Garza Jr. in Mexico’s AAA promotion. Humberto is the 23 year old nephew of the late Hector Garza, who was a familiar face to WCW fans. He is expected to be invited to a future WWE tryout camp.

– We noted earlier this month that WWE was working on plans for a 10-episode WWE Network series that would focus on wrestlers under 205 pounds, possibly in a tournament. One idea was to have “unknown” wrestlers that haven’t been on WWE or NXT TV featured, and another idea was to mix top indie talents with WWE developmental talents. In an update, the project is moving forward and should be beginning soon as a schedule was recently sent out to members of WWE production. It looks like WWE really will be using indie talents for the project.
