On SmackDown on August 29, 2008, Brie Bella made her WWE in-ring debut by defeating two-time WWE Women’s Champion Victoria.
Ten years later, Brie looks back on her first night in the ring.
Brie also reflected on her debut in this post on Instagram.
10 years ago today I debut on #SmackDown I’m so blessed to have worked with so many amazing women and men. There’s not enough space to share all the images of my great memories in WWE. Nikki and I always made sure to turn negatives into positives and never let anyone tell us who we are or how we should be. We always stayed true to ourselves and whether you loved it or hated it we rejoiced it. There’s no age, no limits no boundaries on dreams. Never let anyone hold you back or bring you down. If you believe in yourself anything is possible. I wouldn’t be where I’m at today if I listened to everyone and not my heart. My heart and passion is why I’m where I’m at today. Also I have the BEST army in the world, the #BellaArmy ..Now here’s to the next 10 more 🙌🏽❤️💯 #WWE #womenswrestling #BrieMode #LivingtheDream
Brie proved her debut wasn’t beginner’s luck when she pinned Victoria the following week on SmackDown.
On SmackDown on November 7, 2008, Victoria and Natalya uncovered the fact that Brie had a twin sister, named Nikki, who would switch places with her during matches.
