Backstage Update On Kurt Angle’s WWE Status, Nicole Matthews Has Something To Prove, Top Raw Moments

– After allowing Baron Corbin to get beaten down by Bobby Lashley and failing to prevent Ronda Rousey from attacking Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon last week on Raw, Stephanie told Angle she was giving him a “vacation” to recharge his batteries. She then promoted Corbin to Acting General Manager in the meantime.

While we don’t know where exactly this storyline is going, PWInsider.com is reporting today that Angle has been training very hard for a planned return to the ring. Although a match with Corbin seems likely, that hasn’t been confirmed.

Despite his absence from television, Angle was backstage at Raw on Monday in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
