Paige Got Tattoos Inspired By Alberto Del Rio

Alberto Del Rio and Paige

Two weeks after Alberto Del Rio and Paige went public with their romance at a Disney theme park, the couple took their relationship to the next level.

Paige got a tattoo seemingly inspired by Del Rio on May 26, 2016; a finger tattoo reading “Papi” in small letters.

In another confirmation that they are, in fact, a couple, the two-time Divas Champion got inked at Club Tattoo in Las Vegas, Nevada with Del Rio by her side. A photo of the tattoo quickly surfaced on social media along with a shot of Paige and Del Rio — Del Rio for some reason was shirtless.

The artist who tattooed Paige posted a photo of her work on Instagram and remarked:

I did the tiniest of letters today on @realpaigewwe, who was very easy going and chill as f**k. #tatsoul #darksidemachine #clubtattoolasvegas #clubtattoomiraclemile #clubtattoolasvegasmm #wwe #wwefans #papi #dontforgetthechulo

Club Tattoo noted on its Instagram account that Del Rio got inked as well. It is quite visible since he now has a large cross with a ribbon around it tattooed on the left side of his torso.

In July, Corey Graves met up with Paige at the Empire State Tattoo Expo in New York City to find out about the rebellious Superstar’s tattoos for his WWE Network show, Superstar Ink. In a video clip WWE released promoting her appearance, the “Anti-Diva” showed off her “Papi” tattoo. However, those looking for any insight into her relationship with Del Rio, or any explanation at all, will be disappointed.

As you can see in this video, Paige brings up the tattoo in response to Graves talking about pieces that are “just something silly, that makes you laugh” — jump to the 1:00 minute mark.

On September 13, 2016, Paige briefly shared a photo on Instagram of a second tattoo she got in honor of Del Rio. After the post was flooded with negative comments saying she will regret her decision, Paige deleted it (but not before the picture was saved).

The tattoo is located on her ribs and simply says “Alberto,” which is the wrestler’s middle name. She included a caption that read, “When you love someone so much you give it all for. Not the expression, no literally give it all for.”

Fans pointed out that the quote appears to resemble lyrics from the Eminem song When I’m Gone. It’s worth noting that the track is apparently about the rapper’s life as a celebrity interfering with his family.

It was not first time Paige has deleted Instagram posts about Del Rio. Following the 2016 WWE Draft, which led to the couple being split apart on the road — Paige was drafted to Raw, while Del Rio was sent to SmackDown LIVE — Paige deleted all photos of the two together. This led to rumors that they had broken up. She later reposted the photos and added a new one of them out on a date.
