Backstage Incident Leads To Ezekiel Jackson Losing His Push

Ezekiel Jackson, who prides himself in being "The Personification of Domination," has struggled mightily since dropping the WWE Intercontinental Championship to Cody Rhodes in August. Once a fixture on
SmackDown, the Guyanese grappler has been relegated to
WWE Superstars and non-televised bouts since dropping the strap—the majority of which he has lost. Earlier this year, WWE creative had planned to push Jackson again but his behavior backstage derailed it.
Appearing boastful over creative's plan to renew his push, Jackson pushed his colleagues' buttons to the point where a fight almost broke out in the dressing room at a
SmackDown taping in January. Vince McMahon caught wind of the incident backstage and immediately entered the dressing room before Jackson and his co-workers could come to blows.
The push, which was expected to commence with a strong showing at the
Royal Rumble, did not come to fruition because of an order from the WWE CEO to not push Jackson due to his behavior backstage. This also explains his downward spiral in recent months.
