Backstage News On Ladder Match Being Nixed From WrestleMania 34, WWE Star Returns To Action

– This Sunday at WrestleMania 34, a Triple Threat Match will decide who has the right to call himself Intercontinental Champion when The Miz puts the illustrious title on the line against Seth Rollins and Finn Balor.

This match was originally scheduled to contested in a Ladder Match, but Triple H asked the writers to nix the stipulation.

Triple H feels that Miz, Rollins, and Balor competing in a Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Championship would be overshadowed by NXT North American Championship Six-Man Ladder Match the night before at TakeOver: New Orleans and that it might be an overkill as well (giving fans two ladder matches in two nights).

The NXT North American Championship Six-Man Ladder Match will feature EC3 vs. Adam Cole vs. Ricochet vs. Velveteen Dream vs. Lars Sullivan vs. Killian Dain.

– Primo Colon returned to action on last night’s episode of SmackDown LIVE and was announced as a participant in this Sunday’s 2018 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Participants in the 2018 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal squared off in Eight-Man Tag Team action as Colon, Baron Corbin, Dolph Ziggler, Mojo Rawley beat the team of Breezango, Zack Ryder & Tye Dillinger.

This was Primo’s first match on television since July 4, 2017, in an Independence Day Battle Royal on SmackDown LIVE. This was also his first match in 2018 as he had not wrestled since Starrcade on November 25, 2017.
