Backstage Update on Alberto Del Rio’s WWE Wellness Violation, TNA Interested In Alberto

We recently reported that Alberto Del Rio admitted to violating the WWE Wellness Policy, due of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) prescribed by his doctor. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter said that Del Rio may have very well tested positive for TRT, the reason he was suspended was due to the presence of performance enhancement drugs (PEDs), generally referred to as “steroids.”

Meltzer also says that TNA is desperately seeking to sign Alberto Del Rio, and it’s widely speculated that TNA doesn’t fine or suspend their talent for failing drug tests. Del Rio, who is receiving offers from just about everyone, is looking at working around 60 dates per year and being out of the business in the next two years.
