Daniel Bryan Reportedly Cleared By UCLA Doctors But Not WWE

Daniel Bryan

– Daniel Bryan has been cleared by concussion specialists at UCLA, according to Dave Meltzer on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio. Bryan reportedly underwent several tests by the specialists and was “deemed OK.”

As noted, Bryan’s trip to Pittsburgh this week is not for WWE medical testing, just for a convention appearance, but its possible that this latest development could hold some weight with WWE’s Dr. Joseph Maroon, who has been hesitant to clear Bryan in the past.

It should be noted that there are reports going around, also incorrectly credited to Meltzer, saying Bryan was also cleared to return by WWE, and that he could be at the Royal Rumble. Some mainstream media outlets have even picked the story up. That is not true and Bryan is not expected for Sunday. Meltzer tweeted the following when that was brought to his attention.
