Multiple WWE Storylines Dropped After “Shake Up” On Raw, WWE Network Airing Ronda Rousey Documentary

Alexa Bliss

— With WWE proceeding with Vince McMahon’s “shake up” on Raw this week, several storylines that were recently planned appear to have been dropped.

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, this includes Alexa Bliss as an authority figure, Shane McMahon’s heel turn after winning the WWE World Cup Tournament at WWE Crown Jewel (although this wasn’t supposed to start until January anyway and so it still could happen), the fall-out of SmackDown LIVE losing every match at Survivor Series, and Lucha House Party Rules.

“It appears Alexa Bliss as an authority figure (there was talk of her for the Baron Corbin spot once Corbin lost to Braun Strowman) has been completely dropped. Paige as an authority figure was also dropped. The Shane angle based on his winning the Crown Jewel tournament that was to lead to a heel turn looks like it’s been completely dropped (although it wasn’t supposed to happen until January anyway). Whatever reason Smackdown got shut out at Survivor Series looks like it’s been dropped. Lucha House Party rules, a silly idea, was dropped.”

— According to, a WWE 24 documentary on Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey will premiere next month on the WWE Network immediately following the Royal Rumble.

This special is briefly highlighted in WWE’s latest video previewing upcoming WWE Network programming.
