– Several UK media outlets are reporting that Australian rugby star Daniel Vidot will be receiving a WWE tryout later this month at the Performance Center in Orlando. The Courier Mail reports that representatives from Vidot’s team, the Brisbane Broncos, have been negotiating with WWE reps for the past month and the company has been interested in him for the past year as they look to promote more Australian talents. Vidot commented:

“I’ve had an approach from the WWE. They’ve contacted me and have offered to fly me over to Orlando in a few weeks to try out for the WWE. I’m seriously looking at it. They first approached me last year but I was playing good football with the Broncos, so I didn’t take it seriously. Then just recently they contacted me again and I’ve decided I’m going to have a crack at it.”

“They’ve got thousands of applicants but I’ve been advanced to the final 30 because I’m considered an elite athlete. The WWE talent scout reckons I’ve got the size and the look they are after so I’m going to give it a go. It’s not a done deal yet … it’s up to Richard Graham (coach) and whether he is interested in signing me. I have a few options up my sleeve so my mind isn’t made up yet.”

– John Cena will be back to co-host NBC’s Today show on Wednesday, September 16th in the 9am EST hour.

– Sting is currently scheduled for Monday’s WWE RAW in Memphis, according to PWInsider. This will be the final RAW before Night of Champions, where Sting will compete for Seth Rollins’ WWE World Heavyweight Title.
