Has WWE Released “Tough Enough” Winner Josh?

Josh Bredl

There are some rumors going around that Josh Bredl, who was the male winner of the 2015 reboot of Tough Enough and had worked NXT live events under the name Bronson Mathews, has been released by WWE.

According to a report by Brandon Stroud of Uproxx, Bredl was among the talents to be recently let go by WWE.

It was confirmed on Tuesday that WWE had released NXT wrestler Chris Atkins and on-air personality Andrea D’Marco. As far as Bredl is concerned, he is still under contract to WWE.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter editor Dave Meltzer received word on Bredl’s status with WWE on Tuesday, who said to him that he hasn’t been released.

“Josh Bredl wasn’t released per WWE,” Meltzer said on the F4WOnline.com message board.

As far as why Bredl hasn’t wrestled since last July, according to Meltzer, he “had concussion issues.”

Meltzer did not say how Bredl’s health is these days.
