WWE Releases Andrea D’Marco

Andrea D'Marco

Andrea D’Marco is gone from WWE.

According to PWInsider.com, she recently parted ways with the company. It is not known whether she decided to leave WWE or if she was cut.

Pro Wrestling Sheet spoke with D’Marco about her departure, who said she’s nothing but grateful for her time in WWE.

D’Marco — a.k.a. Andrea Ocampo — said, “I’m incredibly grateful for the time I spent with the WWE. I learned so much and made forever friends. I’m thankful to the WWE Universe for always showing love and support.”

Prior to joining WWE last year, D’Marco worked as the Florida Panthers In-Arena Host at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida. She also wore a few other hats while working with the NHL team, including their Latin Market Manager and reporter. Her work with the Panthers set the foundation for her opportunity with WWE.

D’Marco mostly appeared on NXT as a backstage announcer and ring announcer. She also appeared on Raw, SmackDown LIVE and pay-per-view as a backstage announcer.

D’Marco became less visible in WWE in recent months but continued to appear at NXT shows as recently as last month.

She adds, “I’m not upset that it’s over, I’m only filled with gratitude. It’s time for me to continue to conquer the world on my terms. With guts & grace anything is possible!”

Other talents to have parted ways with WWE recently include NXT wrestler Chris Atkins and Tajiri.
