Have nude photos of Ashley Massaro leaked online?
After several photos and videos depicting Paige in highly sexual situations emerged online due to hackers, rumors began to swirl that this scandal involved other women in the wrestling world, including Massaro.
It all began on March 17, 2017, when explicit photos and videos of Paige leaked online.
Later that day, Paige said private photos belonging to her got stolen and shared without her consent.
“Personal and private photos of mine were stolen and unfortunately they were shared publicly without my consent,” she said in a statement on Twitter.
In the days after the leak, explicit material ranging from topless bathroom selfies to X-rated videos featuring other current or former WWE Superstars began to surface online. The victims included Kaitlyn, Maria Kanellis, Melina Perez, Summer Rae, and Victoria. Summer Rae was on the WWE roster at the time of the leak as she got released the following October. Kanellis was not, but returned to WWE in June 2017.
These leaks are part of a large hacking scandal that has resulted in private images of celebrities being stolen and distributed online. A few days earlier, intimate photos of actresses Amanda Seyfried and Emma Watson began spreading on the dark corners of the internet. The leak — dubbed “The Fappening 2.0” in reference to a similar celebrity hacking scandal from 2014 — has targeted many other famous names.
In the midst of the scandal, rumors spread that hackers had targeted other wrestlers and more material was forthcoming.
“There have been claims that others will follow,” Wrestling Observer Newsletter editor Dave Meltzer wrote in his report on the scandal.
The claims turned out correct as nude photos of WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair leaked online in May 2017.
“Private photos of mine were stolen and shared publicly without my consent,” Flair said in a statement on Twitter. “These images must be removed from the Internet immediately.”
The photos show Flair taking several nude selfies in front of a mirror with her cell phone, which got fitted with a WWE-branded case.
Naturally, this has fans wondering if Massaro is one of the leak victims.
While it seems possible that nude photos of Massaro could leak online since she wasn’t shy about showing some skin, it hasn’t happened … yet.
A bad girl from the Big Apple, Ashley Massaro started to get attention when she got crowned Miss Hawaiian Tropic USA in 2002 and Miss Hawaiian Tropic Canada in 2004. She entered WWE in 2005 after winning the second annual Raw Diva Search contest to earn a one-year contract worth $250,000. From there, Massaro became one of WWE’s most popular Superstars.
As she fought off Candice Michelle, Torrie Wilson and Victoria on Raw, Massaro aligned herself with Trish Stratus and became a tough competitor. She ended her first year in WWE gracing the cover of the December 2005 issue of Flex.
Massaro joined SmackDown in 2006 and became an additional sparkplug for the electric team of Paul London and Brian Kendrick. In 2007, she competed at WrestleMania 23 and posed nude for Playboy. She continued to branch out by appearing on an episode of Smallville and competing on Survivor: China.
WWE released Massaro from her contract on July 9, 2008. A week prior to her release, Massaro announced on MySpace that she requested her release to take care of her sick daughter.
Sadly, Massaro passed away on May 16, 2019. She was 39 years old.
